Distance Healing Services
What is Distance Healing? I believe Distance Healing can be best described as the “knowing” and “understanding” that messages and intention, that thoughtful guided imagination…through time, space and or virtual medium can positively transform a physical state of being. Our energetic purpose here in this life is to exist fully and heal on a daily basis. Distance is nothing more than an amount of space that can be utilized to create freedom.
Holding Space Distance Healing is a “virtual” service. You will be connected virtually with the therapist either by phone or video conference. Holding Space is a way to optimize the potential of a moment. This is energy work. This guided session will unlock the innate natural healing intelligence within the body. Holding Space is a knowing and in this application, in a session, it is an “allowing”. It can be thought of as utilizing the bodys natural, innate, healing ability to obtain balance. The therapist might include cranial techniques if applicable. To discover a moment of relief so innate forces can reorganize. To lift, to support, to understand, to hold, to honor, to assist, to be. In a state of stress and confusion, the body and mind will crave to be held. This is Holding Space.
Craniosacral Distance Healing is a “virtual” service. You will either be connected with the therapist via phone or video conference. This is an energy based modality that addresses the nervous system and the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system. Like the movement of the breath or the cardiac pulse, the motion of the cerebrospinal fluid can be perceived by a developed and trained therapist. This energetically based service will enhance the performance of the nervous system and without a doubt will improve overall health and release blocked energy.
Holding Space with Craniosacral Distance Healing is a “virtual” service. You will be connected virtually with the therapist either by phone or video conference. Holding Space is a way to optimize the potential of a moment. In addition, Craniosacral Therapy is an energy based modality that calms the nervous system by addressing the cranial bones, the spine, and the sacrum. In a “virtual” medium it can enhance the functioning of the physiological body system called the craniosacral system. Like the movement of the breath or the cardiac pulse, the motion of the cerebrospinal fluid can be perceived by a developed and trained therapist. This service will open the craniosacral system and combines nicely with Holding Space. The therapist might choose to incorporate energy based exercise for ample energetic movement.
In-Studio Services
Swedish Massage is a basic relaxing full body massage which may include a variety of massage strokes such as rolling, kneading, long strokes and percussion to help the body improve circulation.
Deep Tissue addresses the deeper tissue of the muscle and fascia and the pressure will generally be more intense. It is a more focused massage used to address chronic muscle tension or adhesions. Common tools used might be elbows, knuckles and forearms.
Advanced Circulatory is similar to a Swedish massage, but uses additional tools such as elbows and or knuckles. It is relaxing and invigorating.
Neuro Flow is a customized deep massage blend combining elements of myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, and advanced circulatory massage. Active release, tissue-specific stretching, and passive joint mobilization/traction techniques may be weaved in to further integrate the bodywork and more effectively achieve positive results. Perfect for clients struggling with symptoms of muscular pain and a feeling of “tightness”.
Cupping is an ancient Chinese therapy that’s based on the belief that certain health problems can be caused by stagnant blood and a poor energy flow through your body. Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a therapist places special cups on the skin for a few minutes to create suction. People choose this therapy for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage. A more modern version of cupping uses a rubber pump instead of fire to create the vacuum inside the cup. Sometimes silicone cups are used, which can slide from place to place on your skin for a massage-like effect. This treatment is integrated with a full body massage.
Meridian Massage is a blend of Swedish and Deep Tissue while incorporating Trigger Point Therapy and Shiatsu. Meridian Massage will address the energetic body through our meridian pathways and help to alleviate structural and energetic imbalances. A meridian is an ‘energy highway’ in the human body. Meridians can be mapped throughout the body, they flow within the body and not on the surface. Meridians exist in corresponding pairs and each have many acupuncture points along its path.
Trigger point therapy involves a more targeted approach focused directly on releasing painful trigger points, so the sessions are meant to be more therapeutic and results-oriented than luxurious or relaxing. When pressure is applied to the trigger point, the pain-spasm cycle is interrupted which helps stop the contraction making the pain go away.
Benefits of Trigger Point Therapy: Trigger point therapy is a proven method to treat headaches that stem from tight upper back and neck muscles, improved flexibility and range of motion, alleviate pain, and helps to improve posture. What causes Trigger Points? Trigger points develop from either stress, repetitive or overuse of a muscle, trauma or accident, structural imbalance, improper stretching or no stretching before physical activity. When a muscle is overused or injured a contraction develops and knots occur. These knots develop when individual muscle fibers are over-stimulated and unable to release their contracted state. This contraction reduces blood flow resulting in a diminished supply of oxygen and a build up of metabolic waste. The contracted muscle (trigger point) reacts by sending out signals of pain.
Shiatsu
Shiatsu Massage is an alternative technique that involves manual pressure applied to specific points on the body in an attempt to relieve tension and pain. According to the Japanese healing treatment, Shiatsu (meaning finger pressure) massage uses thumbs, fingers, elbows, and knees to concentrate pressure at certain energy pathways in the body called meridians. The massage also known as acupressure, works to reduce muscle tension and fatigue and is thought to improve blood circulation in the body as well as improve function of the lymphatic system.
Reflexology Massage is a blend of Swedish and Deep Tissue while incorporating Reflexology. This delicate blend relieves the body and mind of stress and invites much needed relaxation.
The theory behind Reflexology is that there are certain points or “reflex areas” on the feet and hands that are connected energetically to specific organs and body parts through energy channels in the body. By applying pressure to reflex areas, it can be said to remove energy blockages and promote health in the related body area. Pressure on the reflex points also helps to balance the nervous system and stimulates the release of endorphins that help to reduce pain and stress. Reflexology can assist with stress and stress-related conditions, tension headaches and migraines, digestive disorders, arthritis, insomnia, hormonal imbalances, sports injuries, digestive problems, back pain and more.
Crystal healing is a form of vibrational healing that helps to restore flow of vital life force energy and helps to activate one’s ability to heal one’s self. It helps to restore balance, harmony, spiritual connectedness and overall wellbeing. Crystals have been used throughout all of history as a source of healing power. Ancient cultures from around the world used healing crystals and stones to align, clear and transform their energy, spirit and physical health. The metaphysical powers of crystals were no mystery to most ancient cultures including the Egyptians, Mayans and Sumerians who regularly adorned their bodies, jewelry and buildings with these sacred stones. Crystals absorb, focus, direct and diffuse our energy fields to enable a diseased or out of balance body to find its natural energetic rhythm once again. The appropriate crystals can be placed on the seven main chakras, and around the body. A pendulum is most often used as a directive for chakras that might be out of balance or needing support.
Hot Stone Massage incorporates the techniques of a regular Swedish Massage; however, the therapist also works with hot stones that are placed on specific parts of the body or actually held and used as a massage tool. The stones are smooth and flat and usually made of the volcanic rock type called basalt. These particular stones are chosen because they retain heat. The therapist holds the stones and uses them with a variety of strokes as this allows the therapist to get deeper into the muscles without more pressure, helping their client to relax yet further. The benefits include, but aren’t limited to: pain relief, stress relief, increased joint flexibility, decreased muscle spasm and tension, and better sleep.
It is recommended that the client properly hydrates before this session as detoxifying may occur.
Prenatal massage has been used for centuries to improve overall health. It reduces back and joint pain, improves circulation, reduces edema and muscle tension as well as headaches and anxiety. Prenatal massage improves the oxygenation of soft tissues and muscles and promotes better sleep. Modern investigation and research has shown that prenatal massage therapy can be an instrumental ingredient in women’s prenatal care. Special prenatal massage training is required.
Postpartum massage has been shown to be effective for a quicker recovery and better health. Integration of maternal bodywork may add welcome value to your healing journey and transition to motherhood.

Relaxation and Stress Reduction
Postnatal massage relaxes muscles, increases circulation and facilitates healing during recovery. It also lowers stress hormones while bringing relaxation and stress relief. All body systems appreciate treatment after nine months of change, culminating with the delivery of the greatest miracle in life. Customized sessions per the individual needs of each client are a lovely way to assist the system.
Some women prefer nourishing and grounding massage while others enjoy deeper techniques to work out the knots. Anxiety and depression respond very well to skilled therapy. About two-thirds of new moms experience temporary postpartum blues related to hormonal changes, new responsibilities and adjustment frustrations. Emotional support and the other benefits of massage can help during this transition.
Pain Relief
Residual body aches from pregnancy are normal. Adding breastfeeding and childcare can intensify arm, shoulder and back pain. Massage is an effective holistic approach that relaxes muscles and relieves pain without medication.
Abdominal Balancing
Abdominal Postnatal massage brings the body back to balance and assists in toning the uterus and helps to reduce postpartum discharge.
Hormone Regulation
Massage greatly improves postpartum hormone balance. Estrogen and progesterone hormone levels are very high during pregnancy and decrease after delivery. Prolactin and oxytocin hormone levels rise to facilitate breastfeeding. Studies indicate that massage reduces the stress hormone cortisol. Certain essential oils may also bring hormone and mood balance.
Decreased Swelling
Body fluids need to find balance after pregnancy, in which there was an increase of about 50% in fluid volume. Massage increases circulation and lymphatic drainage to facilitate elimination of excess fluids and waste products. Tissue stimulation assists your body to shift water to the right places.
Better Sleep
Most new moms feel exhausted after labor and delivery, complicated with around-the-clock baby care. Massage will ease the fatigue, promote relaxation and assist with sleep. Studies have shown an increase in delta brain waves (those that accompany deep sleep) with massage therapy.
That is why it is very common to fall asleep during a massage. Getting enough sleep is key to postpartum recovery.
Improved Breastfeeding
Breastfeeding is a beautiful gift to your newborn, but can also be a challenge for some moms. Massage therapy relaxes the body, increases circulation and increases milk production. Studies show that massage increases prolactin levels, a lactation hormone.
Relaxation in the chest muscles opens the shoulders and improves lactation. New research indicates that breast massage helps relieve breast pain, decreases breast milk sodium and improves newborn suckling.
When Can A New Mother Start Postpartum Massage?
You may start receiving postpartum massages as soon as you feel comfortable. Natural childbirth can be as soon as you would like and C-section births can remain within the 6-week mark after your delivery date or when your doctor has approved. Your therapists will position you comfortably if your abdomen or breasts are sore. If you have maternal complications, first consult with your medical provider.
Myofascial Release is a soft tissue therapy for the treatment of skeletal muscle immobility and pain. This alternative medicine therapy aims to relax contracted muscles, improve blood and lymphatic circulation.
Acupressure is an alternative medicine technique where the therapist applies physical pressure to acupuncture points in the body. This technique clears blockages in the energy meridians in the body.
Craniosacral Therapy is an energy based modality that addresses the nervous system and is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system. Like the movement of the breath or the cardiac pulse, the motion of the cerebrospinal fluid can be felt anywhere on the body with a developed and trained palpatory skill. Enhancing the performance of the nervous system without a doubt improves the overall health and releases blocked energy. Using light touch and sophisticated listening skills a trained practitioner can help the body unwind.
Craniosacral blends nicely with Polarity work. (It is customary for this type of energy work that the client wears comfortable clothing, as it is a clothed session.) This session can be booked stand-alone or blended with massage.
Polarity Therapy is a healing art based on energy and was developed by Dr. Stone D.O., D.C., over a sixty-year career. It incorporates a set of principles of energy flow and includes specific therapeutic hands-on techniques, deep listening skills, diet, exercise and client counseling if needed. Polarity is an ongoing process of relating to life energy and a deeper understanding of our human bodies.
Polarity Therapy is based on the premise that we are fields of pulsating life energy made up of specific frequencies known as the five elements: Ether, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. Each element relates and flows in a balance of positive and negative attractions arising from a neutral center. When our thoughts, emotions, and physical body are out of alignment with the energy necessary to meet a life challenge, an energy imbalance results. These imbalances may appear as physical, mental, and emotional discomfort or pain. Polarity teaches us that this pain and discomfort is a signal for us to learn, change, and realign our lives. In short, Polarity Therapy is a way of working with the fundamental energies of life, a way of bringing these energy currents to a state of balance and removing obstructions to their free flow throughout the human energy field. Establishing this state of flowing balance enables the life energies to bring about whatever healing needs to be done. This balanced condition is experienced as one of deep concentration and relaxation.
Polarity blends nicely with Craniosacral work. (It is customary for this type of energy work that the client wears comfortable clothing, as it is a clothed session.) This session can be booked stand-alone or blended with massage.
Reiki is an energy-based modality. Qi is a form of vital energy that flows through the body. Free-flowing abundant Qi is said to create health, while stagnant or deficient Qi is thought to lead to illness. Reiki practitioners can improve this energy by holding their hands in certain positions over parts of the patient’s body. This produces a most relaxed, almost dream state while on the table.
Sports Massage is detailed, focused, anatomically specific massage that targets and corrects your unique physical issues. Whether you are a professional athlete nursing a chronic injury, a weekend warrior sore from overdoing it, or a mom with back pain from toting a toddler, Sports Massage can help you.
Table Thai massage and Sports massage are great ways to get in your stretching, increases flexibility and joint range of motion. Thai massage is a therapeutic technique where compression and deep stretching are dominant. The therapist uses hands, feet, forearms, elbows and knees to apply a combination of massage, and gentle yoga-like stretches to bring about your pain relief. (It is customary for this type of work that the client wears comfortable clothing, i.e., yoga attire, long shorts, sweatpants, t-shirt, as it is a clothed session.)
Visceral Manipulation is a gentle, targeted approach to easing restrictions within and around the internal organs, restoring healthy movement and function. Nearly all injuries have an important visceral component. By assisting the body in working through its internalized responses to physical and emotional trauma, VM works with the often neglected root causes of chronic injury, structural imbalance and dysfunction. VM is effective in treating a variety of issues, including motor vehicle injuries, reproductive and urinary issues, postural imbalance, PTSD, digestive issues, migraines, sciatica, heart and lung issues, brain injuries, anxiety, depression and much more.
Visceral Manipulation is available as a stand-alone service, or in combination with massage or Craniosacral Therapy. For lasting results we recommend a course of at least 4 sessions. Every body is unique, and each session will bring a progressively deeper sense of relief as we work through the different layers of your personal physical history. Lomi Lomi Massage is deeply rooted in ancient Hawaiian tradition. The literal translation of “lomi” means to knead, rub, soothe or weave. In the context of massage, it means to let go of what is not serving us. What makes Lomi Lomi unique is the use of forearms, flowing movement, intention and breath resulting in a deep meditative presence for the giver and receiver.
Deep {pressure} massage can integrate with Lomi Lomi and is similar to a swedish massage but with a higher level of overall pressure. Unlike deep tissue, which tends to focus on very specific issues/areas, deep massage addresses the whole body and is effective at targeting overall stress and tension from everyday work and life issues.

This information in not provided in order to diagnose, prescribe or treat any disease, illness or injured condition of the body, but rather to provide alternative options for healing the body. In many cases detoxification is to be expected as the body cleans bacteria and foreign cells that are causing general dis-ease.
